Pneumovax is a vaccine used to help prevent infections caused by certain types of germs or bacteria called Pneumococcus. Pneumococcal infection is an important cause of diseases such as Pneumonia, Meningitis, Middle ear Infection and Infections in the blood. Groups of people with poor immune systems, people without spleen, people with chronic heart, lung, kidney, liver disease, disbetes, alcoholics, HIV/AIDS and those who have had Pneumonia in the past.

Your Doctor or Nurse will be able to explain to you the benefits and risks of this vaccine. This vaccine is expected to provide you protection for upto FIVE years.

Please attend anyone of our medical centers for your free vaccination.

You will be expected to wait for 20 minutes after your vaccination for observation to avoid any adverse effects.
