Tamaki Healthcare- Excellence Awards

East Tamaki Healthcare’s Sylvia Park staff were acknowledged by Tamaki Healthcare PHO. They were presented the Excellence in Primary Healthcare Practice Award during the stakeholders evening on 15th July 2009. These awards were presented to recognize outstanding performance of Primary Healthcare staff.

Dr Vivek Patel received the GP Award and Gurjit Kaur received the Administration Award for their outstanding performance in their respective roles.

The criteria for judgment were:

• Contribution and commitment to Patient Health Outcomes
• Going “over and above” in the scope of practice
• Demonstrate exemplary leadership and teamwork
