Continuous Medical Education
Continuous Medical Education (CME) enhances
- knowledge,
- skills,
- attitudes and
- judgment,
improving the healthcare provided to all of our patients.
The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP) promotes educational programs to maintain and improve skills related to general practice. All GPs must participate in ongoing CME throughout their professional life. The college maintains a national network of RNZCGP registered CME providers and special interest registered providers.
East Tamaki Healthcare (ETHC) is a RNZCGP registered CME provider and as a registered provider:
- Provides high quality CME for all General Practitioners within the area of our operation
- Carry out a CME programme evaluation which includes:
- A reasonable number of formal and anonymous participant satisfaction surveys that are representative of the year’s program.
- The analysis includes the opportunity for elaboration on areas of concern and for suggestions for improvement.
- Resource people and trainers who are involved in the delivery of a program are given feedback arising from a CME event and an opportunity to comment on their level of satisfaction with facilities and support services.
