Our people

Dr Kantilal Naranji Patel QSM, RNZCGP, MBBS is of Indian origin and was born in Kenya in 1949. He attained his MBBS in 1974 from Baroda Medical College, India and moved to New Zealand in 1975.
He has been practicing as a GP in South Auckland ever since and continues to take up the challenge to address the health inequalities in the South Auckland community.
He became a Distinguished Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practice in 2009. Dr Patel's mantra has always been:
"If you look after the patient well, the business will look after itself."
Mrs. Ranjna Patel QSM, JP is also of Indian origin and a third generation New Zealander. She has been supporting Dr Patel from the establishment to the management and growth of the ETHC group.
She has been heavily involved in community health promotions with the Ministry of Health and Counties Manukau DHB in order to enhance and promote health awareness among the local communities in South Auckland.
In 2008, both Dr Patel and his wife were recognised for their services to the community by being awarded the Queen Service Medal.

The multi-disciplinary patient care team at East Tamaki Healthcare (ETHC) is responsible for serving you. Various members of the team may be involved in your care depending on your needs and wishes.

Administration/Support Team   

Our senior management and administration team oversee the clinic operations on a daily basis, managing the network of 24 clinics. They provide effective back office support to our frontline staff and ensure that the clinics run smoothly.
